RIA CyberMeetUp in Tartu June 10th 2026
RIA CyberMeetUp goes to Tartu! For the first time ever, RIA CyberMeetUp is going on a roadtrip — and what better destination than Tartu, home to many of Estonia’s key cybersecurity players. The next RIA CyberMeetUp will take place on Wednesday, 10 June, starting at 18:00 in the lobby of the University of Tartu Delta Centre (Narva mnt 18, Tartu).
This edition will introduce Estonia’s roadmap for the transition to post-quantum cryptography, welcome a speaker from the University of Jyväskylä to discuss current projects and opportunities for cooperation, explore threat detection and incident response methodologies.
List of Speakers (18:00–19:00):
- Jelizaveta Vakarjuk (Junior Researcher, Cybernetica) – Estonian PQC Migration Roadmap
- Markus Miettinen, PhD (Professor of Cybersecurity, Faculty of Information Technology | University of Jyväskylä) – Cybersecurity and AI: A Match Made in Heaven or a Recipe for Catastrophe?
- Ihsan Tolga (Information Security and Compliance Lead, Binalyze) – Core Four Methodology: The Investigator's Mission
- Arko Kesküla (Data Scientist, STACC) – Getting Hit to Get Funding
From 19:00 onwards, we will continue with informal networking and refreshments. Please RSVP in the social media events.
There is also a separate event during the daytime, organised by the University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science, the Küberinnovatsiooni konverents at the Delta Centre. The language of instruction of that event is Estonian and registration can be done through the event website.
Participation in RIA CyberMeetUp is free of charge.
At the same time, the 10 June event in Tartu will mark the end of Season 4 of RIA CyberMeetUp. Season 5 opening will be on 8 October, again in Tallinn.
The event is supported by the European Union and the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC).
