Situation in the cyberspace

The Information System Authority monitors and analyses what is happening in the Estonian cyberspace and organises cyber security research and development activities.

We compile monthly summaries of the last month’s most important events and the situation in the Estonian cyberspace and the international environment. Since 2013, we have been publishilng a cyber security yearbook. In addition to statistics, this yearbook also contains information on sectoral cyber threats and risks, and from 2017, also the recommendations and conclusions of the Information System Authority and its assessments for the following year.

The Information System Authority coordinates and organises cyber security research and development activities to ensure awareness of cyber security threats and ways to mitigate them. We also cooperate with research institutions.

Cyber Security Assessments

Annual cyber security summaries provide an overview of the most important events and incidents of the past year in Estonian cyber space, sectoral cyber threats and risks, but also the Information System Authority’s activities in ensuring cyber security. From 2017, the yearbook also presents the Information System Authority’s recommendations and conclusions, as well as its assessments for the following year.
